We're now past the 48 hour mark with only 1 clarifying question, so I'll
give until midnight Eastern for any further questions to be asked and if
there aren't any, then please go ahead and cast your vote.
Thanks!

John Roberts has made a motion to accept the following requirements for the
Affiliated Organizations to be included in the by-law requirements document:
Afiliated Organizations:
STARFLEET may establish affiliations, partnerships and departments by
following processes that are established in the Membership Handbook.
Affiliated Organizations are other fan organizations or companies who desire
to partner with STARFLEET, The International Star Trek Fan Association, Inc.
to further the goals of both organizations. Affiliated Status will be
granted by a majority vote of the Officers of the Corporation upon proper
application for such status as set forth in the Membership Handbook. The
Officers shall report the application to the Board of Directors, as an
informational item only, and ask if any object before proceeding with the
vote on the application. The final determination of affiliations that are
purely operational in nature shall be made by the Officers of the
Corporation.
Any Affiliated Organization may later petition to become a Department of
STARFLEET, The International Star Trek Fan Association, Inc. Upon the
approval of the petition as set forth in the Membership Handbook, they will
become a Department of STARFLEET, The International Star Trek Fan
Association, Inc. and subject to all rules, policies, procedures and other
requirements as set forth in the Membership Handbook. If at any time, the
members of a Department of STARFLEET decide to leave the organization, they
may do so; but the Department remains with STARFLEET unless otherwise stated
in the agreement granting the affiliated organization status as a Department
of STARFLEET.
Either party in an affiliation can terminate the affiliation with at least
thirty days notice, with or without cause, unless otherwise specified in a
signed agreement between all parties.
Joe Sare has seconded this motion.
I now open the floor for further discussion. If there are no further
discussion points made within 48 hours on this topic then it will be moved
forward to a vote by the committee.
