I say that we all need to make it seem important and/or exciting. i.e.
Fleet's IC 2010 is one state away. So, I'm drumming it up and saying
it'll be fun, so let's get our region to go. It's a vacation for me,
and I'd like to have that be that way for everyone in my region. As for
the bylaws, I'm telling them that it's long overdue and that many
organizations, including my state of Texas, who are going though it or
will be shortly and that it should be done periodically. then, I tell
them if they wish to participate, how, and that they can send me or Dave
their questions. if they choose not to, then so be it. Maybe they
aren't interested or maybe they are trusting that we will do the job for
them. And, we should drum up the member benefits and gatherings. There
are many corporate discounts to be had by fleet members right now, so
that's a good thing, and then make sure they know about other chapters
events and parties. There are good things in Fleet, too.
It's just all how you look at it and how it's presented to the members.
if all they have heard are bad things, then yes, the eyes do roll.

I agree, let them all vote and be counted and maybe things will change.
