My point to you, Michael, is that I'm in the "under 40 crowd," and I don't
demand an electronic process, nor hate postal mail (I mostly get bills in
it, so I'm not hugely fond of it, but I don't completely hate it) so your
generalizations are a bit off.
I've also cited some pretty good reasons for preferring a paper based
system, but I've also gone so far as to look for and post a link for an
online voting search. I'm pretty firmly middle-of-the-road on this one.
Yes, the world is going to a more green method, and that's great, but, by
the same token, we can't expect people to change overnight.
I don't know if this is what you're intending with your messages, Michael,
but some of them are coming across that STARFLEET should just change
immediately, and that it's tough luck for whomever doesn't like it.
Most people don't deal well with change, which is why it's probably a good
idea to phase changes like this in rather than to just snap our fingers and
make everyone have to deal with it.
